Strategic Planning Course
In my strategic planning class, I researched Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN and created a strategic plan for them based off of their internal as well as external environment and other market factors. This was around 40 slides of graphs, information, and pictures of how the hospital is standing, how it can improve, and what it can do to service their patients more efficiently. I then had to go further into detail with my group and then present out findings to the class.
High Risk Health Behavior and Harm Reduction Course
Although this class was fully on Zoom, I was able to learn about many of the harmful behaviors many of us participate in and come up with a prevention program to help with these behaviors and addictions. My group chose gambling as our topic and we came up with two ways to reduce the number of people who are addicted to gambling. By doing this project and listening to my peers talk about their papers, I learned how many different ways there are to help those who take part in high risk behaviors and those who struggle with some kind of harmful addiction.
